Stanley Moss was born in New York City and was educated at Trinity College and Yale University. He makes his living as a private art dealer, largely in Spanish and Italian old masters, and is the publisher and editor of Sheep Meadow Press. His most recent books are A History of Color: New and Collected Poetry (2003) and New and Selected Poems 2006, both published by Seven Stories Press. In 2004, he published Songs of Imperfection in the U.K.
